About this role
Overview
We are looking for an administrative assistant to support the senior leaders of the Aladdin Alternatives team within the Aladdin Client Business. The Aladdin Alternatives team is responsible for driving the commercial growth of Aladdin's Private Markets business via eFront and the Whole Portfolio products. This role will provide administrative, organizational, and logistical support for the Head of Aladdin Alternatives and the Head of Aladdin's Private Markets Data business. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the calendars and schedules for the senior leaders
- Demonstrating thoughtful management of the leaders' time against priorities and ensuring preparation for meetings, including making recommendations regarding prioritization, delegation, and organization.
- Coordinating internal and external travel with awareness of potential conflicts processing the relevant expenses in line with company policy.
- Exhibiting a strong attention to detail in coordination and communication of logistics.
- Maintaining and leveraging a broad network of contacts effectively communicate and partner with the assistant community and other internal stakeholders.
- Leverage BlackRock's technology capabilities to bring efficiency and scale.
- Performing ad hoc project work as required.
- Coordinating townhall events and other large meetings for the broader team.
- Manage senior leader calendars and schedules
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business administration, management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, or a similar role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines
