Overview

The whole loan group is a team-oriented group of banking professionals that serve institutional clients with their loan portfolio. Ranging from sales to trading, analytics to underwriting, service to our customer is our focus as we work to make a market in trading and analyzing loans. We work with a broad array of clients nationwide including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, money managers, specialty lenders and hedge funds. Job Summary

Raymond James is seeking an individual to provide support and assistance in trading loan portfolios between financial institutions. A Finance, Accounting or MIS background with strong computer skills is preferred. This position will primarily involve organizational support with opportunity to grow into more meaningful projects. Applicant will also be asked to perform other miscellaneous assignments in furthering successful transactions.This program is geared toward rising junior or rising sophomore level students. This program will begin in the summer of 2024, with the potential to extend throughout the school year.

This is a temporary role.

Work Schedule Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes specified projects and varied assignments.
  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
  • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.

Skill in

  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency (Certification is a plus)
  • Microsoft Power Point
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Ability to

  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

Rising sophomore, rising junior or rising senior level candidate.

Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
