Job Description SummaryWorks in the Operational Resiliency testing program to validate that appropriate and adequate response and recovery plans are in place for GS and C&IS. Helps determine if plans are effectively designed and actionable to ensure the continual delivery of services arising from disruptions. Provides guidance to others as necessary. Solves complex issues and works independently. May lead projects and/or have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.

The main responsibilities include

  • Involved in resiliency and scenario testing, and assessing the adequacy of the required response and recovery actions for important business services within GS and C&IS
  • Develops appropriate scenario test plans for each important business service identified
  • Works on testing plans against a range of scenarios to identify resiliency gaps such as corruption, deletion or manipulation of critical data unavailability of facilities or key people unavailability of critical third party services disruption to other market participants and loss or disruption of technology underpinning important business services
  • Takes a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Identifies vulnerabilities and suggests remediation activities
  • May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Skills/ Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of operational resiliency including disaster/business recovery, business continuity management, corporate risk policies and standards
  • Strong background in operational and IT practices including integrated testing
  • Strong understanding of risk management practices including cyber security and how they apply in Financial Servicesorganizations including the impact of regulation on operational resiliency matters
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and related tools including Power BI
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to drive to execution
  • Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance
  • Several years of related experience in operational resiliency testing
